About

Recerca/Zulu Vins

Laurent and Jessica are making some incredible moves in the natural wine world. Apart from making delicious wine at their Domaine (Recerca), they also have a custom bottling project with various winemakers called Zulu Vins. On top of that, Laurent is one of the co-organizers of Salon Indigenes and he is in the process of trying to create a new IGP. What this ambitious couple are doing for the natural wine community is refreshing and exciting, so make sure to keep up with these two because they are going places!

The Zulu Vins project was created in 2015, on the initiative of Christophe Albero, now missing. Some time after this tragic event, Jessica, his wife, supported by Laurent decided to continue the adventure. The idea is simple: like the small independent music labels, which defend and distribute artists "like no other", the Zulu team distributes, defends and creates in collaboration with local winemakers (Tom Lubbe at Matassa , Gille Troullier, Sébastien Agelet at De Mena ...) ephemeral wines; all in beautiful liveries very original, which takes nothing away from the charm of the initiative; making Zulu's unique and recognizable flasks at first glance!

Recerca (research, in Catalan) is a domain created by Jess Albero and Laurent Pujol. They work with 4.5 hectares of vines between Vingrau and Paziols in the Corbieres. Working as naturally as possible, they never use any chemicals in the vineyard or cellar, as they approach their project holistically with minimal intervention. Their wines are of a very high purity, straight, fresh and balanced.
